It is so quiet at night even the location is near the station !

a over 80-year-old building. 5 minute walk from Kyoto Station. (Hachijo East Exit, where the shinkansen is).The Osaka and Airport Limousine buses are a two minute walk. It is within walking distance from Toji Temple. It takes only 5 minutes to Fushimi Inari Shrine famous for its 1000 gates by train on the Nara Line. It is also a 3 minute train ride to Tofukuji Station, Tofukuji Temple being famous for its beautiful red leaves in autumn and green ones in spring. It is about 15 minutes by subway to Nijo Castle and overall it is a location with good access to sightseeing spots. Since rent-a-car and car sharing are also very close, it is convenient to go to Amanohashidate and Miyama etc. You can have a relaxing bath in the Shigaraki ceramic bathtub while admiring the inner garden. Also recommended for wedding ceremonies and late stays (after events etc).
You can also rent kimono and yukata at our office near Kyoto station.

Please visit our check-in counter 10:00~17:00. Enter the house from 15:00.




Change into kimono outfit and you are ready to go sightseeing !

As we have kimono for rent at our office you can change in kimono and go sightseeing right away !





This area has many restaurants which serve interesting and reasonably priced meals.





Relax in the "Shigaraki ware" tub. It has a far-infrared effect. The water is scented with our original herbal mix.





At end of the day, enjoy a sound sleep on hand crafted bedding filled with soft down.




The morning service

Experience the morning service at To-ji Temple. Also don't miss the very popular To-ji antique market on the 21st of each month.





You are spoiled for choice in this area, buffet style in the station, Japanese style in the Machiya cafe, or delivered to the house.





After you checkout visit the neighboring cities of Osaka, Kobe and Nara all easily accessible by train from Kyoto station. Fushimi-Inari Shrine is only 5 minutes away!

The staff will help you to get dressed during the check-in procedure then you will be able to go for sightseeing by leaving the luggage to the staff. You can enjoy the kimono all day long. (kimono dressing hour is from 10am to 17pm)

Its main hall is famous for its big stage. From its 18m height you can have a panoramic view of Kyoto. The classical itinerary is to go from Kiyomizudera, go through Kodai-ji, then walk to Yasaka Shrine, Gion.

Kinkakuji Temple

From the Muromachi area (14-16th century), the Kinkakuji Temple was established by the shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu. No matter how much you have admired its shining gold, it is as magnificient as the first time. The Kinkakuji under the snow, though a rare sight, is particularly stunning. The site is said to be really big but you can visit it including the garden in around one hour.

Fushimi Inari Taisha Sanctuary

Famous for its thousand vermillion torii gates. Going through its many torii gates you can choose to go to the main spot and go back, then it will take 30 minutes, but you can also choose to do the course that will lead you up to the Inari Mountain. It takes 2 hours but it is appreciated for the stunning view of Kyoto landscape that you can admire.

Kyoto Aquarium and Railway Museum

On the site of the Umekoji Park, there are two places to enjoy. The Kyoto Aquarium, one of the largest inland aquariums, has the giant japanese salamander typical of the Kamogawa ecosystem. The Kyoto Railway Museum has a train driving simulator, experiences of different jobs, from kids to adults everyone can enjoy it.
